Co-Founder & Vice President
Rob Groff is a Co-Founder, Vice President, and a key System Architect and Lead Developer for Modotech’s flagship product, Internet Solutions for Insurance (ISi). Drawing on more than 35 years of deep experience in the insurance industry, Rob provides the critical technical foundation that allows smaller P&C carriers and MGAs to compete effectively with larger insurers.
As a full-stack developer, Rob specializes in system architecture, database design, back-end logic and web-based front-end development. He played a central role in designing and implementing ISi’s foundational web-based architecture, which supports multiple lines of business, states and clients. His primary focus is on the back end, creating high-efficiency, automated processes that manage critical operations, reporting and secure payment functionality. This includes designing and implementing relational data structures to ensure the system’s stability, scalability and long-term reliability.
Rob’s technical work directly enables ISi to lower client operating costs. By developing back-end programs for automated billing, renewals and reporting, he has streamlined functions across claims adjusting, underwriting, customer service and accounts receivable—significantly reducing staffing requirements.
Additionally, Rob helped design ISi on an Internet-based platform to minimize future development and maintenance costs while ensuring easy access for both internal teams and external users, including agents and policyholders. He also engineered key third-party interfaces, ensuring seamless connectivity and secure data transfer across essential systems.
